At Rolvenden, we recognise the importance of teaching Geography to our pupils in order to develop their understanding of the world around them. We aim to use our natural surroundings where possible, and encourage our children to think about why they need to look after their immediate and the wider environment.

Knowledge Organisers

 Our Knowledge Organisers for Science are produced termly for each class. They are labelled as Cycle A (A) or Cycle B (B) as we run a two year cycle of themes.

Disciplinary Knowledge Progression

Disciplinary knowledge focuses on the understanding required in order to develop the ability ‘to think like an geographer’. At Rolvenden, we have two key documents which outline this knowledge – they both contain the same information but one is organised by year group, whilst the other is organised by disciplinary thread.
