Communication

We are proud of our approachability here at Rolvenden and we are ready to listen to any questions, concerns or feedback you may have. You will see below the different options to find the most effective pathways to follow for different topics.

You will see below contact blocks, which are intended to cover most scenarios. However we recognise that in a school environment occasionally unusual things can happen and would ask you to use your own discretion in these circumstances. In the event that you feel an issue has occurred which warrants further investigation, please refer to our complaints policy.

When speaking with teachers and staff, please remember to always be kind. We understand that sometimes events frustrate parents but our staff are dedicated to ensuring your children receive the highest quality learning and are always happy to meet with you to discuss events in more detail.

"My favourite aspect of the school is the sense of community and togetherness for the children. I have seen in other primary schools how the year groups and sometimes form groups take part in seperate events or assemblies, which divides the children up and makes their age what defines their social circle but at Rolvenden the mixed classes, all school summer and Christmas plays, talent show etc have boosted their confidence and made performing on stage or taking part in group events a normal part of life. Even the shy children look forward to taking on the bigger roles as the go through the school."

Comment from – Parent feedback questionnaire 2024

"As a whole school, I find Rolvenden to be well managed, and in the majority, the staff to be exemplary. The support staff in willow are nurturing and go above and beyond to support children who are finding things challenging or having any pastoral difficulty. As always I love the community at Rolvenden, how every staff member knows every child as an individual, and indeed every child knows every child in the same way. Allowing for strong bonds between them all and a sense of a “whole school team” among them which is very clear to see."

"It's like a lovely large family that looks after the individual kids holistically; and the sense of togetherness and belongingness."

"The kindness of the children, and how everyone looks out for each other! And of course the end of year play but mine absolutely love it!"
